In this post, we'll walk you through these updates and show you how they can make your practice more efficient.

Preferred Template for Appointment Types

One of the standout features of this update is the ability to assign a preferred template to each appointment type. This feature allows you to set a specific template that will automatically load when booking that particular type of appointment.

To use this feature:

1. Click on the three dots in the appointment settings or create a new appointment type.
2. You'll notice a new dropdown list labelled Preferred Template.
3. Select the appropriate template for your appointment type. For example, if it’s a follow-up appointment, you may choose your SOAP notes template.
4. Hit Save to apply the changes.

This feature ensures that you always have the relevant template at your fingertips, saving you time and ensuring consistency across your documentation.

Appointment Note Alerts with Colour Coding

Another exciting feature is the addition of a colour-coded Appointment Note section, allowing you to flag important information directly within the booking.

1. Simply select a colour for the appointment note, such as red for urgent or high-priority alerts.
2. You can then add specific information about the patient, such as "Patient is highly allergic to latex," which serves as a useful reminder for the clinician.
3. The system will automatically save and update this information, ensuring that critical details are always visible and up to date.

Seamless Template Integration with Treatment Notes

Once you've booked an appointment, creating a treatment note is now quicker and easier. When you click on Create Treatment Note, it will automatically load the patient’s details and open a blank template for you to fill in. This integration streamlines the process, allowing you to focus more on patient care and less on administrative tasks.
